Welcome to The Accounting Society's website!
The Accounting Society was established at Baruch College (CUNY) in 1968 with the main purpose of preparing a diverse group of business students for the accounting profession. We are an organization that is open to all students - both undergraduate and graduate - regardless of race, academic standing, or major.
Since inception, we have continuously been active on campus by holding weekly meetings, arranging office visits each semester, coordinating the semi-annual Networking Luncheons, and providing workshops on business etiquette. In addition, we also hold our semi-annual Book Exchange to provide a medium for students to buy and sell textbooks efficiently and economically. At the end of the academic year, all members are invited to attend our Induction Ceremony, an event where we reflect on the Societys achievements and honor the officers, faculty advisors, members and corporate supporters.
The Accounting Society takes pride in having a policy where we do not charge any membership dues yet we continuously strive to bring quality service to the students. So if you are a business student possibly considering a career in accounting, JOIN US! You have nothing to lose and all the wealth of knowledge to gain. Feel free to roam around our site and let us know of your thoughts and interests.
Thank you for visiting!
